Team Fitterer Electric joins inaugural Hats Off Day Family Fun Dash!

Last weekend saw Team Fitterer Electric lace up their running shoes again in participation of the inaugural Hats Off Day Family Fun Dash!  According to legend, there used to be a 5km or 10km race associated with the annual street party and Burnaby Heights merchants’ celebration.  In honour of this, the organizers at Hats Off Day decided to bring back a Family Fun dash, incorporating a 500 meter dash for children of all ages!

The youngest members of Team Fitterer Electric were paired with some of our senior members, taking off at the bell along with a handful of other first-time racers.  We were greeted at the finish line with ribbons and wagon wheels, quickly clearing Hastings so the parade could begin!

Community and neighbourhood involvement is imperative to the team here at Fitterer Electric, and it was an honour to be a part of the first (modern) Family Fun Dash!

We look forward to even more of our team of electricians entering next year:  if you are interested in joining Fitterer Electric, please leave a comment and I will get in touch of you when registration opens next May, 2014!
